2019 STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT COMPLIMENTARY PASS LIST
The 2019 State Basketball Championships Complimentary Pass Lists have been sent out to all Athletic Directors this year. Please complete the online form and submit to the NMAA by January 11, 2018. We will not be using the scanned form. The form is now online. Please keep in mind those school districts that have more than one school, the lists were sent to the District AD. Only those on this list will receive complimentary entrance to the state basketball tournament. Basketball Coaches will not receive additional passes upon qualifying for the state tournament. They will need these passes in order to get into the tournament unless they are entering with the team prior to a game and are within the 20 allotted members. Coaches who do not have a pass and wish to enter when their team is not playing will not be granted complimentary entrance.
We will be using the same procedure as last year. If a person is listed on the complimentary pass list, and also listed as part of the basketball program correctly on MaxPreps by December 15, 2018, they will receive a pass which grants access to the tournament and also to the Hospitality Room. Those listed on the pass list and not reported on MaxPreps correctly will receive a pass that will only allow complimentary access to the tournament itself. If you have any questions regarding the reporting of your coaches on MaxPreps correctly, please contact Tyler Dunkel at 505-923-3295.

COMPETE WITH CLASS NOMINATIONS
In an effort to establish and sustain the Compete with Class initiative, the NMAA will be highlighting acts of sportsmanship through various awards and recognition programs during the 2018-2019 school year. In order to do this, our office NEEDS YOUR HELP! Acts of sportsmanship by individuals, coaches, officials, administrators, spectators, or teams as a whole should be reported to the NMAA office as they occur. Photos of these acts would also be appreciated. Send your nominations to J.P. Murrieta at firstname.lastname@example.org.
TWITTER ACCOUNTS & FEATURE ARTICLES
Coaches and athletic directors, we are encouraging all of you to help us spread the positive news about high school athletics. If you have a Twitter account, please email us with your Twitter handle so we can follow you. If your school or athletic program doesn’t have a twitter account, I highly recommend signing up for one. It’s free and real easy to use and it’s become a simple way for keeping in touch with others involved in your program and getting your message out. You can let us know your social media information by sending us an email to email@example.com.
