SKILLSUSA

ABOUT SKILLSUSA

SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving students enrolled in career and technical education training programs in public high schools and colleges. SkillsUSA’s mission is to help its members become world-class workers and responsible American citizens. SkillsUSA complements technical skill training with instruction in the employability skills that make a well-rounded worker and citizen.

The U.S. Department of Education, along with State Departments of Education, endorse SkillsUSA as an integral part of the technical curriculum. One of the many reasons why they support SkillsUSA is that SkillsUSA provides experiences in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. High ethical standards, superior work skills, lifelong education, pride, community service, and promoting the free enterprise way of business are just a few of the positive experiences students gain by being involved in SkillsUSA.

Nationally, SkillsUSA enjoys support from more than 1,000 corporations, businesses, and associations. SkillsUSA is showing everyone how vital career and technical education is to America’s future.
