NMAA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FORMS

The NMAA Foundation will continue with its mission to give back to the youth of New Mexico in 2020 by providing $24,000 in student scholarships. Most of the recipients will again be recognized during the NMAA State Basketball Championships. “COMPETE WITH CLASS” SCHOLARSHIP
PRESENTED BY THE NEW MEXICO NATIONAL GUARD

The New Mexico Activities Association, in conjunction with the NMAA Foundation, will be awarding a maximum of eight (8) $1,000 Compete with Class scholarships during the 2019-2020 school year.  Awards will be given to students that best exemplify the three pillars of the Compete with Class sportsmanship initiative – Respect, Integrity, and Responsibility.  Recipients will be selected by the NMAA Foundation Board of Directors based on recommendations from the NMAA and its member schools.

Three “at-large” scholarships will be given to individuals that have participated in athletics and demonstrated the ideals promoted by the New Mexico Activities Association and NMAA Foundation.  There is no formal application process for these scholarships as the recipients will be chosen from the pool of individuals that apply for the categories listed above.

Daniels Scholarship Program

The Daniels Scholarship Program provides a four-year annually-renewable college scholarship for graduating high school seniors in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. It is a “last dollar” scholarship that pays toward tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and miscellaneous educational expenses.
