BASKETBALL COACH COPES WITH TRAGIC LOSS

 In General News, Press Releases

Clifton Davidson is in his seventh year as head coach of the Bosque Bobcats.  You probably can’t tell by his demeanor at practice, but he is still recovering from the biggest loss anyone can suffer.

His son Eli led Bosque to a State Championship in 2020. Eli was 1st team all-state in his final two years of high school, he averaged over 26 points a game, and went on to sign with Western Colorado University.  But on a Wednesday in March of 2022, it all changed.

Coach admits his son wrestled with anxiety and depression. He said Eli battled injuries, illness, relationship problems, the loss of a friend, and struggled with self-belief and confidence. But Coach Davidson wants to remind others to continue to fight and talk.

Please take a few minutes and watch this conversation with Coach Davidson.
