DION’S STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: BRENNAN SHOCK, CLIFF HIGH SCHOOL
Each month, Dion’s Student Spotlight shines a light on one standout student-athlete making the most of every opportunity. This month, that spotlight lands in Cliff.
A senior at Cliff High School, Brennan Shock isn’t just involved—he’s everywhere. From the hardwood to the golf course, from the track to the classroom, his schedule reads like a highlight reel: basketball, golf, track & field, National Honor Society, the NMAA Student Leadership Advisory Council, and Student Body President.
His roots run deep in basketball. In a community where the game is part of the culture, it was only natural that it became his first love.
“My mom won her first state championship when I was in her belly,” he says with a smile. “I’ve basically been in a locker room with a basketball my whole life.”
But Brennan’s game doesn’t stop at the gym doors. Golf has carved out its own place in his heart, offering a different kind of challenge—and balance—to his competitive drive. Ask him what fuels it all, and he keeps it simple: wake up and get it done. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just a mindset that matches the mileage.
This is the Dion’s Student Spotlight.
This is Brennan Shock of Cliff High School.
