ALBUQUERQUE ACADEMY PITCHER IS PERFECT

Albuquerque Academy pitcher Melissa Purcella was perfect on Tuesday.  The freshman threw a perfect game in the Chargers’ 15-0 win over East Mountain High School.  Purcella struck out all 9 hitters she faced.  It was her second no hitter of the season.  Purcella also threw a one-hitter in the second game of their doubleheader with East Mountain, also a 15-0 win.  Academy improves to 17-8 on the year and will wrap up the regular season at Valley on Friday.
