HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES MONTH

October is National High School Activities Month.  It is a time to celebrate the contributions and benefits young people experience by participation in sports and activities.  NMAA member high schools are encouraged to promote the values inherent in interscholastic athletics and activities.

Each week during October will have a different focus.  October 21-25 is National Community Service/Youth Awareness Appreciation Week.  It is a time to recognize all of the adults who work tirelessly on behalf of the students who participate in interscholastic programs.

TEAM PHOTO POSTING DEADLINES

Per NMAA bylaw 3.9.3, team photos must be posted to MaxPreps team pages for Cross Country, Football, Soccer and Volleyball. These photos should be posted at least three weeks prior to the beginning of the State Championships.  Failure to do so will subject the school to a $250.00 fine per program.

POSTING ASSISTANT COACHES ON MAXPREPS

Athletic Directors and Head Coaches, the NMAA has created a video explaining the process for entering in your assistant coaches on MaxPreps. It is important that your assistant coaches are entered in this specific area on MaxPreps. The NMAA uses this information to grant assistant coaches into State events. If they are not listed in the proper place they will not be given access to the State event. For more information, please contact Tyler Dunkel at tyler@nmact.org.
