From Volcano Vista to The Voice: Lillie Kolich’s Journey to the National Stage
From performing on stage at Volcano Vista High School to competing in front of millions of viewers on NBC’s The Voice, New Mexico native Lillie Kolich is proving that big dreams can take you far beyond the Land of Enchantment.
Kolich made an immediate impression during the show’s Blind Auditions, earning the coveted four-chair turn after her rendition of sombr’s “back to friends” captured the attention of all four coaches. She ultimately chose Team Queen Latifah and continued her impressive run by winning her Battle Round with a performance of “Girl Crush.”
Now pursuing her music career from Nashville, the singer-songwriter recently sat down with J.P. Murrieta to reflect on her journey, growing up in New Mexico, and how her high school experiences helped shape the artist she is today.
