Frank Dooley is a legend in the New Mexico basketball community.  The Hall of Famer coached for over 40 years at six different schools (Deming, Silver, Alamogordo, Mayfield, Cibola, and St. Pius X).  Dooley led Deming High School to four state basketball championships in the 1970’s (1971, 1972, 1974, 1976) and reached the final with Alamogordo in 1988. The Deming High School basketball court was named in his honor in 2010.  He was inducted into the Western New Mexico University Athletics Hall of Fame in 1989 and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2025. With his deep commitment to student-athletes, Frank Dooley left a lasting legacy in New Mexico high school sports.
