4 New Mexico Esports Programs Nationally Ranked In Top 25

Four New Mexico Schools are among the Top 25 Esports programs in the United States. Portales High School, Bosque High School, La Cueva High School, and West Las Vegas High School were all listed in the USA Today/PlayVS Esports Super 25. Portales was ranked #18 with a winning match percentage of 77.08% and winning game percentage of 81.94%. The Bosque Bobcats are ranked 22nd (76.39/74.36), La Cueva High School is 23rd (76.25/68.32), and the West Las Vegas Dons are 25th (75/73.74). New Mexico is the only state with four schools among the Top 25.

PlayVS evaluated high schools competing in the Spring 2026 season to identify the Top 25 Esports programs in the country. To qualify, schools must participate in at least five different esports titles. Rankings are based on the average match-win percentage of each school’s top team in every title they compete in. Ties are broken using average game-win percentage, followed by overall program size.
