 In General News, Press Releases

The Nusenda Credit Union Director’s Cup Award winners were announced for the 2022-2023 school year.   The Director’s Cup is awarded annually to the top New Mexico Activities Association member schools in each classification based upon success in activities, athletics, and sportsmanship.

The standings can be accessed from the NMAA website at http://www.nmact.org/directors-cup

These include athletic points for participation and success in the sports of Football, Boys/Girls Cross Country, Boys/Girls Soccer, Volleyball, Swimming & Diving, Basketball, Wrestling, Spirit, Baseball, Golf, Softball, Tennis, and Track & Field, as well as Activities participation in all activities and success points in Powerlifting, One Act Play, Bowling, Athletic Training Challenge, Chess, JROTC, Mock Trial, Choir, Concert Band, Esports and Scholastic Publication.  The standings also include deductions for player/coach ejections from the fall, winter, and spring sports seasons.

This year, the Director’s Cup also includes points for Multi-Sport Athletes in your program, based off the participation survey submitted by your school. Points are awarded based on the percentage of boys’ and girls’ participants that compete in multiple sports for each school. The percentage is calculated by taking the total number of multi-sport athletes against the total number of sport participants.

A spreadsheet showing a breakdown of all points accumulated by each school can be accessed from the bottom of the standings page within the website.
