2022 NMAA Spring State Championship Event Information

ALBUQUERQUE, NM– The New Mexico Activities Association would like to highlight the following important information regarding the upcoming 2022 Spring State Championships.

 

Track & Field 

Official Championship Name:

Western Sky Community Care State Track and Field Championships

Tickets:

Adults: $10.00

Students / Seniors / Military: $5.00

**NOTE – Above prices do not include fees added by UNM.

Championship Location:

UNM Track and Field Complex

Championship Dates:

Class A-3A:   May 6-7, 2022

Class 4A-5A:  May 13-14, 2022

Additional Facility Information:

  • The University of New Mexico will be charging $5 per vehicle for parking. Campers and RVs will be subject to additional charges.
  • Concession stands will be available (credit card only).
  • Face coverings may be worn but are not required.
  • Entrance to facility IS NOT dependent on vaccination status/COVID testing.

Additional Information Specific to Members of the Media for State Track:

  • WORKING media with a valid 2021-2022 NMAA Media Credential may cover the event. Only those outlets covering a specific school/athlete will be granted access.
  • A valid NMAA media credential must be presented to obtain complimentary parking and admission to the facility.
  • Face coverings may be worn but are not required; social distancing should be maintained to the greatest extent possible while covering the event and/or conducting interviews.
  • Entrance IS NOT dependent on vaccination status/COVID testing.
  • There will not be a “hospitality room”.
  • Media must cover the meet from areas designated by event staff.
  • Access to the press box will not be available.

Softball

Official Championship Name:

NMAA State Softball Championships, presented The Cates Team at RBC Wealth Management

Seeding Meetings / Brackets Released:

Classes 4A-5A:  The NMAA will hold a seeding/selection show on Sunday, May 1 at 5pm which can be accessed from www.nmact.org.

Class A/2A-3A:  The NMAA will hold a seeding/selection show on Sunday, May 8 at 1pm which can be accessed from www.nmact.org.

Tickets:

Adults: $10.00

Students / Seniors / Military: $5.00

Championship Locations:

Class 4A-5A 1st Round – Host School Site (higher seed)

All Other Rounds Except Finals – Rio Rancho HS & Cleveland HS

Finals – UNM Lobo Field

Class A/2A-3A (All Rounds) – May 11-13, 2022

Class 4A-5A (Remaining Rounds) – May 12-14, 2022

*hosted by Santa Ana Golf Club and Twin Warriors Golf Club on the Santa Ana Pueblo
