A-3A STATE TRACK/FIELD ENTRY DEADLINE
A-3A Track and Field coaches are personally responsible for entering all athletes that have qualified for the state track and field championships into the MileSplit website no later than Sunday, May 1st at 11:59 p.m.  Failure to do so will jeopardize your athlete’s entrance into the State Championships and late entries will result in a $500 fine to the school.

2021-2022 NMAA MEMBER SCHOOL PARTICIPATION SURVEY
Attention Athletic Directors – Click here for the 2021-2022 NMAA Member School Participation Survey.  This survey will be used to collect student participation numbers in both athletics and activities for member high schools across New Mexico and will be used to account for participation in activities for the Director’s Cup. The New Mexico Activities Association is again working with the National Federation of State High School Associations to collect this data and your assistance is greatly appreciated.  The deadline to submit your school’s participation survey is Wednesday, May 18, 2021.  Although you may only be able to directly provide student participation numbers for athletics, please work with your colleagues to provide as much data as possible for activities as well. If you have any questions regarding this year’s participation survey, please do not hesitate to call Jackie Martinez at (505) 923-3281 or by email at jackie@nmact.org.

TENNIS UTR ACCOUNTS
Per NMAA bylaws, all schools are required to create UTR team and player accounts and all players need to be added to the team account:  https://www.nmact.org/file/UTR_Instructions.pdf.  Fines will be assessed for schools failing to meet this requirement. For questions please contact Scott Owen at s.owen@nmact.org.

BASEBALL PITCH COUNT REPORTING
Pitch counts MUST be entered in to MaxPreps within 24 hours after the completion of each contest.  Failure to do so will result in a warning for the 1st offense, and then suspensions for any subsequent offenses.  Several warnings have already been issued to start this season, so please be sure to get this taken care of for all remaining contests.

BECOME AN OFFICIALS
The New Mexico Officials Association is looking for enthusiastic people that want to make an impact on the high school and middle school youth in our State by becoming a sports official. If you are interested in becoming an official, please contact Zac Stevenson at zac@nmact.or or Dillon Metzgar at dillon@nmact.org or call 505-923-3277.

REMINDER TO CHECK THE ARBITER
Athletic Directors please make sure you double, and triple check the Arbiter and make sure that all your games are in there correctly. That includes the game times.  We owe it to the kids to make sure we have done the administrative side correctly, so that when they put on their uniform officials are there so teams can play.

MAXPREPS SCORES
Athletic Directors, please make sure that your MaxPreps schedules are updated with scores. Having an accurate schedule on MaxPreps is vital to the seeding and selection process. For help with MaxPreps, please contact Tyler Dunkel at tyler@nmact.org.

COMPETE WITH CLASS SCHOLARSHIP
The New Mexico Activities Association, in conjunction with the NMAA Foundation, will be awarding a maximum of eight (8) $1,000 Compete with Class scholarships during the 2021-2022 school year.  Awards will be given to students that best exemplify the three pillars of the Compete with Class sportsmanship initiative – Respect, Integrity, and Responsibility.  Recipients will be selected by the NMAA Foundation Board of Directors based on recommendations from the NMAA and its member schools.
