ALBUQUERQUE, NM– The New Mexico Activities Association would like to highlight the following important information regarding the upcoming 2021 Fall State Championships.

Cross Country

Official Championship Name:
Western Sky Community Care State Cross Country Championships

Tickets:
Tickets can be purchased online only via GoFan (NO WALK-UP/CASH SALES).

Additional Information for Spectators:

  • Spectators should enter the Albuquerque Academy campus through the West Gate located off of Wyoming Boulevard at the Burlison stoplight
  • Because it is an outdoor event, face coverings are recommended but not required. Social distancing should be maintained to the greatest extent possible
  • A championship souvenir stand will be available on site

Additional Information Specific to Members of the Media:

  • All WORKING media with a valid 2021-2022 NMAA Media Credential will be granted access to cover the event
  • Media members should enter the Albuquerque Academy campus through the North Gate located off of Harper Drive
  • Because it is an outdoor event, face coverings are recommended but not required. Social distancing should be maintained to the greatest extent possible while covering the event and/or conducting interviews
  • Interviews may take place near the finish line after each race
  • There will not be a “hospitality room”

Additional Information Specific to Members of the Media:

  • All WORKING media with a valid 2021-2022 NMAA Media Credential will be granted access to cover playoff games
  • Because it is an outdoor event, face coverings are recommended but not required. Social distancing should be maintained to the greatest extent possible while covering the event and/or conducting interviews
  • On-field access on the sidelines for media is limited to the area from the 10-yard line to the end line at the back of the end zone in all four corners of the field (media are not allowed in the 80-yard area between the 10-yard lines on each side of the field) or behind the end lines
  • Press Box access will be determined by the host site administration and may be limited/prohibited – if available, social distancing must be maintained and masks are required within these indoor spaces
  • There will not be a “hospitality room”

ROAD CONSTRUCTION NEAR TOURNAMENT VENUES FOR STATE VOLLEYBALL:
US 550 Construction (from NM 313 to NM 528) is still underway.  This may cause delays getting to the Rio Rancho Events Center and Cleveland High School.  Attendees are encouraged to get there early.  Information regarding this project can be accessed at www.keepmoving550.com
