Welcome to the 2009-10 New Mexico Activities Association high school wrestling season.
Please note the following important changes and points of emphasis for the upcoming season:

1.Changes to NMAA Wrestling Weight Management Program.
• The NWCA OPC generated weigh-in forms are now required.
• Athletes who cheat during the assessment process will be sanctioned in the same manner as if they had been ejected from a contest (one event suspension and Pursuing Victory with Honor program/essay, prior to re-assessment).

2.Points of Emphasis for 2009-10. (see Section IV for details)
• Dates and Deadlines for your date book/planner (suggest download/print)
• Officials Registration, Groups, Assignments, Payments
• Control of Communicable Skin Conditions
• Wrestling Weight Management Program
• Program Integrity
• Pursuing Victory with Honor

The points of emphasis for 2009-10 represent current issues that challenge participation in the sport of wrestling and the effectiveness of an education-based athletic experience. Please focus your efforts in these areas and help us collectively make high school wrestling in New Mexico something we can all be proud of. Though we are competitors, the nature of the sport demands that each of us maintain certain standards to insure the health of the participants, the integrity of the competition, and the quality of the learning experience.
