IN THE NEWS:
MVP SCHEDULES / RESULTS
AD's and Coaches - As we approach the Fall State Championships, it is very important that ALL Fall Sports varsity schedules are complete and results of ALL varsity contests are updated promptly in MVP. This includes making sure that ALL district contests are properly identified.
When scheduling in MVP, unless it is out-of-state or being entered after-the-fact, tournaments should be entered and updated by the Host team. This will allow them to update brackets and results during the event, which in turn will be automatically posted to all participant schedules.
Please contact Bill Cleland with any questions related to MVP.
STATE SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS
The First Round of the State Soccer Championships are set to start Friday and Saturday, October 28-29 at the home site of higher seeded teams. The remainder of the tournament will take place at the APS Soccer Complex in Albuquerque. Please ensure ALL coaches and players are listed in MVP on your team page prior to the end of the day Monday, October 24th. No more than 22 players may be listed on rosters for all varsity soccer teams. Please remind all parents that tickets can be purchased ahead of time at ticketleap.com for all games played November 3-5. Check out all of the State Soccer Championship information here. For questions, please contact Robert Zayas at 505.977.5386.
WINTER SPORTS TO BEGIN PRACTICE / RULES CLINICS TO BE POSTED
Basketball and Wrestling practice begins on Monday, October 31st. Swimming / Diving and Spirit competition may also begin Monday, October 31st. Just a reminder that rules clinics for winter sports will be posted online on November 1st. It is mandatory for ALL head coaches to take the online rules clinic for their sport. In order to get credit for the clinic, each head coach MUST have an active MVP account and a coaching role associated with their school. For more information regarding rules clinics, please contact Bill Cleland at bill@nmact.org or 505.923.3271.

SEEDING AND SELECTION
As a result of the Board of Director’s unanimous vote at the June 3, 2010 meeting, the NMAA staff will select & seed teams for the 2011-2012 State Championships. Please ensure all fall sport head coaches utilize the seeding and selection coaches input form. This is a way for all head coaches to give their input on seeding and selection of teams for the state tournament. Click here for the complete seeding and selection packet.
