BASKETBALL TICKETS:
The New Mexico Activities Association is pleased to announce that reserved seat ticket sales for the 2010 First Community Bank State Basketball Tournament, presented by Farmers Insurance Group® are underway! Eighty teams, both boys and girls, will advance to the quarterfinals beginning on March 9th. Reserved seat ticket holders only had until Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 to redeem their tickets. STATE BASKETBALL SEEDS RELEASED:
The NMAA released the Class 3A, 4A and 5A state basketball championship seeds yesterday; the class A-AA match ups were also posted on the NMAA website.  Bracket times will be updated throughout the day today (Monday, March 1).  Click here to view match-ups and seeds.


ATTENTION YEARBOOK, JOURNALISTS, PHOTOGRAPHERS AND WEB DESIGNERS:
The NMAA is happy to announce the return of the State Journalism Competition, now expanded to include all varieties of Scholastic Publications.  The Competition will be held on April 10th at La Cueva High School and includes mail in and live competitions.  Visit the Scholastic Publications page on the NMAA website for more information.

The NMAA Spring On-Line Rules Clinics are now available on the NMAA website. All on-line rules clinics should have been completed by Feb. 28. See links below for clinics:

NMAA TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP DATE REVISIONS:
On June 3, the Board of Directors approved a major calendar adjustment for the 2010 State Track & Field Championships due to the University of New Mexico hosting the 2010 Mountain West Track & Field Championships. Track & Field practice will begin on Week 32 instead of week 33 for the 2010 season. All District Track & Field Championships will be held Week 44 (April 26-May 1). The Class A-AA State Track & Field Championships will be held Wednesday and Thursday May 5-6, with the Class 3A-5A State Track & Field Championships scheduled on Friday and Saturday May 7-8.

 

STATE SPIRIT CHAMPIONSHIP DATE REVISION:
The 2010 State Spirit Championships will be held on April 16-17, 2010 at the Rio Rancho Santa Ana Star Center.
