LAST CHANCE!! 2012 APPLICATION FOR TRACK AND FIELD STATE QUALIFYING MEETS
The 2012 Application for State Track and Field qualifying meets is due to the NMAA office no later than January 23, 2012. If you are planning on hosting a meet, please get this application to the NMAA by this deadline. For questions please contact Robert Zayas at 505-923-3274. To view the list of approved qualifying track and field meets, click here. Please note if a meet is not listed, we have not received an application for that particular meet.

JR. HIGH/MIDDLE SCHOOL AD’S CONFERENCE
The NMAA is hosting a FREE conference on January 25, 2012 at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid Hotel for all NMAA member Jr. / Mid High School Athletic Directors. Registration is required and the registration form is available by clicking here.

BASKETBALL COMPLIMENTARY PASSES
Attention Athletic Directors: The deadline has passed for 2012 Complimentary Pass Lists to be submitted. Names listed on the forms must have an active MVP account. They will receive a pass for entrance into the event as well as entrance into the hospitality room. All lists have been finalized and will be sent out to Superintendents in February. FOUNDATION BOWL-A-THON
The Annual NMAA Foundation Bowl-A-Thon will take place Sunday, January 29, 2012 at TenPins & More in Rio Rancho. The cost is $250.00 per team, with two sessions starting at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. If you are unable to participate you may also make a donation! Come out and support the student athletes of New Mexico. All proceeds help in providing scholarships to student athletes throughout the state. For more information regarding the Bowl-A-Thon or making a donation, please contact Mindy at 505.923.3280.
NMAA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE
NMAA Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students from NMAA member schools who, through the application/nomination process, demonstrate sportsmanship and academic achievement in the classroom. JANUARY REFERENDA RESULTS
By a vote of 60 in favor and 30 against, NMAA member schools voted to require 8th grade students and their parents to submit a “Participation Form” to the NMAA prior to participating at the high school level. This will go into effect at the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
SPRING RULES CLINICS ONLINE
Online rules clinics for all Spring sports (baseball, golf, softball, tennis, track and field) will be available February 1 through February 29, 2012. All Head Coaches are required to attend and MUST HAVE an account in MVP to get credit for attending. Rules clinics can be found on each sports landing page at www.nmact.org. For questions about accessing rules clinics, or about MVP, contact Bill Cleland.
