Student Council Student Profile- Nick Davee
Student Profile: Nick Davee, Student council
By: Sarah Vernon, NMAA Intern
Nick Davee, who attends Aztec High, is one of Student Council’s finest. In fact, Davee goes up and beyond what is expected of the average student participant. The New Mexico Association of Student Councils (NMASC) is an activity in which many high school students participate in order to gain leadership training and networking opportunities. Not only has Davee been an active member of the NMASC since he was in the sixth grade, he is also the current President. A well deserved position after having perfect attendance at every state, summer workshop, and district conference for the last six years. His dedication to the activity goes well beyond what is expected of the average high school senior. His number one goal for this year was to attend all six NMASC district conferences, which were held October 27 through November 5. He not only had to get permission from Aztec High to do so, but he also missed out on a concert in which he was invited to attend with his friends. This was not the first social sacrifice Davee has made in order to participate in the activity he has already dedicated so much time and energy to.
Davee is the “ultimate team player,” and is well respected by his peers and advisors. He is a well-rounded individual who is known as the “fun-loving kid next door.” Nick Davee is an impressive individual, and is a positive example of a student participating in a high school activity.
