Finally, the Hall of Pride and Honor houses five plaques depicting those distinguished individuals from New Mexico who have been inducted into the National Federation of State High School Associations Hall of Fame. The six NFHS inductees are: Ralph Bowyer, Ralph Tasker, Jim Hulsman, Bill Gentry, Tommy McDonald and Mel Otero.

The History

The New Mexico Activities Association was formed in 1921 by a group of concerned Superintendents who saw the need to regulate high school athletics.  Going strong today, the NMAA is now over 75 years old and regulates all interscholastic activities. The association's membership consist of more than 300 middle/junior and high schools throughout the state. The NMAA has been a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations since 1932.

In order to preserve the history and accomplishments of New Mexico high school sports and activities, the Hall of Pride and Honor was constructed in 1992.  The nationally recognized museum is dedicated to the achievements of interscholastic sports and activities.
