Ejection Application

The New Mexico Activities Association requires that all coaches, school personnel and athletes who have been ejected from a game or contest complete this on-line educational program in order to be approved to participate again.

NMAA bylaw 7.7.2 states that any coach or participant who is ejected from an athletic contest/game, regardless of sport, is required to sit out the next contest/game minimally, at all levels. This penalty is the responsibility of the local school district to impose. This sanction is subject to final approval by the NMAA after such violation is reported within a reasonable time frame but prior to the next contest. In addition to the one game suspension, ejected parties must complete this on-line PVWH component prior to returning to competition.

Please note that member schools will be assessed a financial sanction as per Section 7.7.2 of the NMAA bylaws.

How does this work?
1. You will read materials regarding Pursuing Victory With Honor; the NMAA's sportsmanship initiative.

2. Once you have read this information click "continue"

3. You will then be asked to e-mail information to the NMAA, including a 250 word answer to a question using what you learned from the PVWH materials.

4. The NMAA will e-mail you and your athletic director back once your summary has been read and approved.

NOTE: Once your e-mail is approved by the NMAA staff, an e-mail will be sent to the athletic director, and/or coach (if applicable) which will allow the ejected party to participate in their next contests after fulfilling the required one game suspension. If an individual who is ejected, fails to complete this process, they will not be allowed to participate after their one game suspension.
