The NMAA, a member-led organization, provides leadership in interscholastic athletics & activities, promoting equitable participation and character development.
Softball Rules Verification
Beginning with the 2005-2006 season, the New Mexico Activities Association began requiring that head coaches at all levels sign one Verification Form per sport at the start of each season that verifies all information stated on the former “Verification Cards” used by the NMAA. In effort to avoid additional paperwork for you to complete, the NMAA will utilize the method below.
In pre-game meetings with officials, the head official will still discuss all of the items on this page with the coaches. The coaches will be reminded that they have completed this portion of the rule clinic and that they are liable for all of the items herein.
Please read the information below
carefully; it is your responsibly to ensure that your lower level
coaches (JV, C-Team, Freshmen, etc) are aware of the information as
well.
