New Mexico students received top honors at the National HOSA Leadership Conference, June 23 – 26, 2010 in Orlando, FL. New Mexico students and schools winning top honors are:

Onate HS (Las Cruces): Outstanding National Chapter
Fred Barrio and Michael Ortiz (Onate HS): Top Ten in Medical Terminology
Linda Deno (CNM): Silver Medal (2nd place) in Medical Terminology
Christina Timmons (CNM): Top Ten in Medical Math
Angelina Richardson (CNM): Gold Medal (1st place) in Veterinary Assisting
During the national competition, students worked against the clock and each other, proving their expertise in Health Career Occupations.
